A new One Karnataka Mobility platform now allows passengers to access services from Karnataka’s four state transport corporations through a single digital system, while WhatsApp ticket booking has been introduced for selected intercity bus services. The platform was launched in Bengaluru on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at an event held at Vidhana Soudha to mark 100 days of the state government.
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar inaugurated the updated mobile application and the WhatsApp ticketing facility. The four transport corporations covered by the platform are the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
The application provides passengers with a secure login system for identity verification. Users can also view their previous bookings and manage transactions through the platform. A unified complaint system has been added for issues related to all four transport corporations.
Passengers will be able to check the status of complaints, escalate them when required and track progress towards resolution through the same application. The system is intended to bring booking-related services and passenger grievance handling into one interface rather than requiring users to approach separate platforms for different transport corporations.
WhatsApp booking is currently available for KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC bus services. To begin the process, passengers must send a message to 6364940880. They can then enter their place of departure, destination and travel date to search for available services.
After selecting a bus, passengers can review the ticket details and complete payment through the available options. These include the Unified Payments Interface, credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets. According to KSRTC officials, the booking confirmation and electronic ticket will be sent to the passenger through WhatsApp and email after payment is successful.
Tickets booked through WhatsApp can also be cancelled through the same channel. Passengers selecting the cancellation option will be required to enter their PNR number, mobile number and transaction password, according to the information released about the service.
The launch places booking, transaction history and complaint tracking for multiple state transport corporations within a common digital framework. The system’s immediate operational scope includes WhatsApp booking for three corporations, while the One Karnataka Mobility application covers services associated with all four corporations. No separate implementation timeline for additional WhatsApp services was provided in the report.
