A ticket shared publicly showed a journey from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station to Jadcherla costing ₹190, compared with the regular ₹150 fare. Another passenger travelling from Hyderabad to Karimnagar reported paying ₹400 for a Super Deluxe service instead of the usual ₹300. The complaints have focused not only on the higher price but also on the need for clearer communication before passengers begin their journeys. The transport corporation has attributed the increase to a longstanding government order from 1981, which provides for higher fares on special services during festival periods. The corporation has stated that the provision remains applicable and that the additional charge does not extend to regular services.
