Hyderabad Releases Himayatsagar Water After Heavy Inflows
Hyderabad’s water authorities have initiated a controlled release of water from the Himayatsagar reservoir following a rise in inflows from recent rainfall, underscoring the importance of proactive reservoir management during the monsoon season. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) began releasing around 1,000 cusecs of water from the reservoir after water levels increased due to continuous inflows from the catchment region.
