A new flyover link in Navi Mumbai is set to streamline traffic movement between Palm Beach Road and the Sion–Panvel Highway, offering a more direct route for vehicles travelling towards Panvel and Pune. The connector, opened in Vashi, addresses a long-standing gap in the city’s road network where commuters previously relied on circuitous routes through congested internal roads.
Stretching under 300 metres, the elevated arm enables vehicles from Palm Beach Road to merge directly onto the highway, significantly reducing travel delays at one of the area’s busiest junctions. For thousands of daily commuters from Vashi, Turbhe, and Kopar Khairane, the intervention is expected to cut journey times and improve overall traffic predictability, particularly during peak hours. Until now, the absence of a direct link forced motorists into detours via heavily burdened stretches such as Sanpada and key junctions around Vashi.
