Hyderabad Convention Centre Strengthens HR Leadership Team

The leadership team at Hyderabad’s largest convention hospitality complex has been strengthened with a new human resources appointment aimed at advancing workforce strategy and employee engagement across the property. Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and the adjoining Hyderabad International Convention Centre have named a new People and Culture Manager to oversee talent development and organisational culture initiatives.

The appointment reflects the hospitality sector’s increasing focus on workforce management as hotels and convention venues expand operations to meet rising demand for conferences, business travel and international events in Hyderabad. In the newly assigned role, the executive will manage human resources functions across both facilities, including recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development programmes, and policy implementation. The position also involves working closely with senior management to strengthen workplace culture and support long-term talent strategies.Hospitality industry observers note that effective people management has become a central priority for large hotel properties, particularly those that host international conferences and large-scale events. Convention hotels operate complex teams across departments such as operations, guest services, catering, logistics and technical support, requiring strong HR systems to ensure consistent service standards.

The new HR leader brings experience in hospitality workforce management, including recruitment planning, performance management and employee development programmes. Prior to the appointment, she served in a similar leadership role at ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road, where she oversaw HR operations and implemented initiatives aimed at strengthening employee engagement and organisational capability. This move also marks a return to the Hyderabad convention property, where she had previously worked earlier in her career. Industry insiders say familiarity with the organisation’s structure and operational culture could support a smoother transition into the leadership role.Hyderabad has increasingly emerged as a major destination for global conferences and exhibitions, supported by large convention facilities such as the HICC complex and a growing network of business hotels across the city’s western technology corridor. As international events return to pre-pandemic levels, hospitality operators are placing renewed emphasis on workforce stability, training and employee well-being.

Experts in the hospitality sector say investment in human capital is particularly important in convention centres where service delivery relies on coordination among hundreds of employees across multiple departments. Structured learning programmes and employee engagement initiatives are also seen as key tools for retaining skilled workers in an industry known for high workforce mobility. For Hyderabad’s convention and business tourism ecosystem, strengthening HR leadership at major venues is viewed as an important step toward maintaining service quality and supporting the city’s reputation as a preferred destination for international conferences and corporate events.
