Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) has launched a significant leasing initiative, offering 62 commercial spaces across 23 metro stations in Pune. This strategic move is aimed at boosting revenue and providing diverse business opportunities in high-traffic areas. The available spaces include 38 smaller units (under 100 square metres) and 24 larger units (over 100 square metres), catering to various business needs.
These units are being offered on long-term leases of nine years, with six units already successfully bid out and two additional property development floors open for lease. The permitted business types include retail stores, daily needs outlets, food and beverage stalls, and other services such as offices, clinics, gyms, and entertainment centres.
Maha-Metro has outlined specific business categories for these leased spaces, including retail shops, essential goods vendors, electric reheating food stalls, and various service-oriented businesses. Interested parties can schedule site visits to explore the available spaces and access detailed leasing information on Maha-Metro’s official website. The leasing initiative is expected to generate additional revenue for Maha-Metro, enhance convenience for commuters by offering amenities and retail options at metro stations, and create new business opportunities in prime locations. This move represents a strategic effort to optimise metro infrastructure use, drive economic growth, and improve the overall passenger experience.
