6 Special Trains Between Mumbai and Sawantwadi for Mela Rush
In a bid to manage the expected surge in passengers during the Anganewadi Mela, Central Railway (CR) has announced the operation of six special trains between Mumbai and Sawantwadi Road. These trains will be deployed to cater to the large volume of travellers heading to the event, ensuring smoother travel and better crowd management. The special trains will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai to Sawantwadi Road, with services starting on February 21, 2025. The services are strategically scheduled over the course of four days to accommodate the rush.

February 21, 2025:
- Train No. 01129 will depart LTT at 00.55 hrs and arrive at Sawantwadi Road at 12.00 hrs.
- Train No. 01130 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 18.00 hrs and reach LTT at 06.10 hrs the next day.

- Train No. 01131 will depart LTT at 00.55 hrs and arrive at Sawantwadi Road at 12.00 hrs.
- Train No. 01132 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 18.00 hrs and reach LTT at 06.10 hrs the next day.

- Train No. 01134 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 18.00 hrs and arrive at LTT at 06.25 hrs the next day.

- Train No. 01133 will depart LTT at 08.20 hrs and arrive at Sawantwadi Road at 19.00 hrs.
The special trains will provide a variety of accommodations for passengers, including First AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Class coaches. Notably, the General second class coaches in these trains will be unreserved, with tickets available through the UTS app. Passengers can book tickets for the special trains via IRCTC’s website or at computerized reservation centres.

These special trains will stop at several key stations along the route, including:
- Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, and Kudal.
