₹236-Crore Solar EPC Contract Expands Maharashtra’s Farm Power Push

Hyderabad-based Truzon Clean Energies has secured a ₹236-crore solar EPC contract from Hariom Power & Energy to develop 72 MW of ground-mounted solar projects across Hingoli, Latur, Parbhani and Beed districts in Maharashtra, strengthening the state’s agricultural solarisation infrastructure under PM-KUSUM Component C.

The order covers turnkey execution, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and performance demonstration. Truzon said it has already executed 15 MW of the contracted 72 MW capacity.

Once commissioned, the projects are expected to generate 89.89 million units of electricity annually, subject to final project specifications and operating conditions. The generation estimate links the contract not only to renewable-energy capacity addition but also to the delivery and operation of distributed power infrastructure in four predominantly agricultural districts.

The projects are being developed under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan, or PM-KUSUM. The programme component is associated with agricultural solarisation, and the Maharashtra projects are intended to support that objective through ground-mounted solar installations.

For Truzon, the contract expands its utility-scale solar portfolio. The Hyderabad-headquartered company was formerly known as Suntek Energy Systems. Its investor base includes cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma, according to the company information reported by The Hindu.

The contract also illustrates the multiple layers involved in converting renewable-energy plans into operating infrastructure. The EPC scope places responsibility for the project lifecycle—from design and equipment procurement to installation, testing and commissioning—with the executing company. The final performance demonstration is part of the contracted delivery process.

The four-district spread gives the order a regional footprint beyond a single project site. Hingoli, Latur, Parbhani and Beed will each form part of the aggregate 72-MW development, although the supplied announcement does not specify the individual capacity allocated to each district, project-wise completion dates or the location of the sites within the districts.

The expected annual output of 89.89 million units is based on the completed portfolio and remains subject to final project specifications and operating conditions. That qualification means actual generation will depend on the final configuration and performance of the commissioned installations.

The announcement does not provide details on the financing structure, land arrangements, evacuation infrastructure, power-purchase arrangements or the next project milestones. Truzon’s disclosure confirms that 15 MW has already been executed, while the remaining capacity is part of the contracted development. Further implementation updates will establish how the balance of the order progresses across the four districts.
